New London Construction Begins January 3

We are excited to announce that construction of First State Bank’s new corporate headquarters in downtown New London is anticipated to begin January 3, 2023. Our new office will combine lobby, drive-up, and local operations into one convenient location and will encompass the area of our current drive-up facility and the adjoining green space along Waupaca Street.

We have worked with our general contractor, Keller, to maintain drive-up services as much as possible during construction with a few important changes:

• Our current drive-up ATM will be shut down starting January 3, 2023, in preparation for construction. Please instead use our new ATM located inside the front entrance of the main bank lobby (113 W. North Water Street) which offers walk-up access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• When construction begins, drive-up access will be reduced to two lanes. The drive-up entrance also moves just to the south of the current entrance on St. John’s Place, where a temporary driveway to the first two lanes of the drive-up will be constructed. 
• The walk-up windows at the drive-up will continue to be open to customers during construction. Traffic flow in the parking lot area leading to the walk-up entrance, however, will be one-way only, entering from St. John’s Place and exiting on Lincoln Court.

Feel free to use our main bank lobby which should not be impacted by the construction across the street.

Our new office is expected to open in late 2023, after which our current office will be donated for the New London Public Library expansion. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this project!
