What to bring to your local branch

To assist us in opening your new business account, we may request the following:

1. Money (cash or check) for your opening deposit to your account. The minimum opening deposit for a business checking account is only $50.

2. Documents to verify your business as well as the individuals associated with your business.

Documentation by business type

Sole Proprietor

  • SSN or TIN of owner
  • Documentation of the trade name
  • Valid government issued photo ID of owner

Partnership

  • TIN of Partnership (including IRS documentation)
  • Valid government issued photo ID of all partners/signers
  • Partnership Agreement or Certificate of Partnership

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

  • TIN of LLC (including IRS documentation)
  • Valid government issued photo ID of all signers
  • Articles of Organization
  • Operating Agreement

Corporation

  • TIN of Corporation (including IRS documentation)
  • Valid government issued photo ID of all signers
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Bylaws

Non-Profit Organization

  • TIN of Organization (including 501(c)(3) determination letter if applicable)
  • Valid government issued photo ID of all signers
  • Meeting minutes authorizing opening of account
  • Bylaws or resolution naming account signers
